The fuck is this. Can any of the Stardiver experts give us a lowdown on "Critical Hit Evasion"?. Is there a special attribute for it, kinda like players can merit enemy crit rate down?

Crit Evasion is to Crit Hit Rate as Evasion is to Accuracy. So, in practice, having capped crit rate on one mob might not be true for another if their Crit Evasion is higher. This is also how I suspect SE will be trying to goad us from Crit WS onry spam on newer/harder mobs.

More or less though I don't think I've seen anything that showed any mob having a crit evasion different than any other mob without buffs/debuffs on it and of course agi for dDEX. That being said that ammo sound probably say something like additional effect decrease...

Currently I use the Oirandori katana which also has that stat. I never really notice much of a difference on my critical hit rate but there could be a slight increase.

I am unaware of any tests that show similarity or differences between critical hit and critical hit rate. It is quite possible for critical hit evasion directly affect rate, but it is also possible for all mobs to have an inherent critical hit evasion that players impinge upon. The only tests I am aware of are the Hmpede and Abyssea tests. The former is the foundation for our critical hit rate knowledge since we are able to accumulate over 10k samples. However, this is all on the same mob, so there may be differences against other mobs. The latter I don't have details on and only mention this because of the method people use to test critical hit rate (100%-X value). I will say that if it turned out that critical hit and critical hit rate were different, the formula would be significantly different from accuracy (In that dSTAT, AGI and DEX, would have a cap).

Hmm. Looked good at first, but doesn't seem to ever be better than an offhand STR Dagger by the DPS sheet.

Anyone recall how much zeni it took for PW? I want to do the math on how much jetton alternating NQ/HQ camera on NQ plates will take to finish an AV pop.

I'm also not sure what to think of the legion gear. A couple pieces I can see being decent for stat mods on BLU, and a couple WS swaps for some melee, but nothing really stands out to me like some of the VW gear.

Tons of good stuff there for BLU, multiple new TP pieces, WS pieces, and other macro pieces. Hating life though 'cause most of that good shit will no doubt drop from NMs, and the upgraded sets will likely involve NM drops too, which means I'll never have enough points to lot any of it. >:C

Zeni costs = 22k per leg to T4 at minimum price, plus 500 for each salt and 5k for PW itself.. assuming you buy everything yourself.

Therefore 72500 zeni for the whole tree.

At 1500 zeni per pic, thats 48 pics.

NQ + HQ can take a total of 60 plates with all their charges.
NQ is like 2 jetton, HQ is 500. 60 soulplates cost 10 jetton.
Therefore 1 session with max shots taken is 512 jetton.

From here it depends on how well your pic taking rate is.
If 50% and you buy everything needed per session, then you'd be looking at 2 sessions, so thats approximate 1024 jetton required to get all the zeni needed for PW.

therefore you have enough to pop PW 40 times at least.

In one of the cages (Diabolos cage?) your Pankration pet will keep on fighting until it loses.

    Each win gives you Jettons.

Certain pets will always win against CPU pets (some player pets will be built to take down certain pets though).

So basically, if you get lucky and have no other player bother trying to take down your pet, you can keep winning against computer pets and keep raking in Jetton.

Your pet will keep fighting until it loses.

Dark Elementals are good against most stuff except maybe Chigoes with enspell.

If your Dark Elemental gets taken down by a Chigoe, you could instead use a *Pit Antlion (The Antlions that hide in the ground before attacking) designed to take the Chigoe down. That Antlion then might be taken down by a Dark Elemental (so rock, paper, scissors). I don't remember exactly which pet is good against what but I know that Dark Elemental and Chigoes almost always win against computer pets. Even if your pet loses, unless the other player (or competition in Pankration in general) is determined, you can start your winning spree again by just putting out a pet that is designed to take down that pet to earn more Jettons.

*[Edit] Clarified that it's a Pit Antlion rather than a regular Antlion that should be used. Pit Antlions (I think they're called?) are the ones that hide in the ground before attacking (using Pit Ambush ability). Those are good against Chigoes as they usually stun them + wipe all the shadows (if any) after emerging from the ground.

Here are are some topics (#1)

I had a chigoe with like haste and double reduced attack delay and enpetrify. Only lost to things that were really resistant to petra and were somewhat defensively setup which seemed mostly lizards. But it also drawed out against most things with phalanx and -dmg on them lol. Had some super defensive ones that almost never lost too... but had a hard time getting htat first win. Never did learn how to make my dark elemental be nuke happy

I see absolutely nothing I want as a SMN. Maybe I'm just missing something but none of it seems worthwhile.

You don't want gloves with Avatar MAB 8?

Or pants with +Blood Pact damage? (admittedly, depends on value.)

I saw the earring and I doubt it's anything over a 1 or 2 increase, which is bullshit.

The gloves look like a total pain in the ass to get, so I'll be passing on those as well. Legion is going to be hopeless.
