Anyone need a roommate in the West Coast or North East? Serious question.

That thread got some mixed reviews as I don't think people took me serious as I was looking for people to stay with on BG, of all places.



Well, I ended up saying 'fuck it I'm moving' and that prompted the Advice on Moving to NY. Dropped everything and moved from FL.

And it was one of the best years I've experienced. Different everything. People, city life, etc. And I got to meet a lot of friends on BG, too. It was wonderful.

Well, I'm doing it again and honestly -- This is serious, if you need a roommate let me know.

-I generally keep to myself.
-Not many possessions, therefore not much to make a mess with.
-Very clean about dishes and bathroom.
-Tend to just drop the clothes on the floor before getting them into the hamper.
-I can't cook.
-But I love the microwave and those bake-in-the-oven meals.
-I can make the bestest breakfast ever, though.
-I have a job, car and can support myself. (I would transfer through work as there's most likely a place wherever I go.)
-I can sign a contract for x-amount of time, go into a lease, or just pay monthly.
-Looking to pay no more than $600 a month including utilities/cable. Possibly 700 depending on the state/pay.
-Yo, if you say you do and you live in Alabama, no. (Not because it's Alabama, well a little bit, but I am tryign to go as far away from FL as I can.)
-Up to three roommates total, but prefer just 1. I like living alone, but it's only because of my situation that I am and that I am able to afford it. Once this lease is up, I'd have to find a roommate/two bedroom place.

And I know I'm being picky, but these states:
-Hawaii (LOLLLLL -- But I would consider it, never been and fuck yea Hawaii)
-Cali
-Oregon
-Washington
-Colorado
-Maryland up to Maine


Pretty much be bringing my computer/books/clothes. That's pretty much all I have.

If Pennsylvania is on your list (Pittsburgh specifically), I'm pretty much taking up an entire 2-bedroom + living room apartment by myself right now. Rent and utilities are dirt cheap (500 for just me, 262/each total for rent. I average 40-ish/month for internet and electric each, and generally 15-20/month for gas during spring/autumn/summer and 150/month during winter).

I'm 21, a typical poor college student and I'm generally not really home much during weekdays since I take the bus out to campus and just read in the library between classes. I have a car but parking kinda sucks in this city so I rarely drive it outside of errands/groceries. I generally keep to myself, though I don't mind company, and I rarely cook despite being decent at it because I'm generally cheap and undermotivated to cook for just myself. I'm fairly easy-going, and generally pretty easy to get along with.

Pittsburgh has a pretty nice bus system, and I live within a moderate walk or easy bike ride (5-10 minute drive) of Carnegie Mellon and all the stuff in that general area. PM me if you're interested or have any questions. Good luck with your search~

I've got housemates already so I can't offer you a place here in Philly with me, but I can ask some friends. Philly is great for food, drinks, nightlife, history, art, music, pretty awesome city. DC, NYC, Baltimore, Boston, all are very accessible as well.
