Today was nice in Waco. High temp of only 94 and high humidity of 65%. The average high humidity during the summer months is 85%. Last year we had ninety days with the temperature over 100 F (every day in July) along with the humidity. I also live about 40 yards from the Brazos river, so the humidity is always a bit higher at my house.

Texas is just a whole lot of surface area. the TX PH (pity me some more plz+thx) is extremely dry. Same with Midland/Odessa areas.. go east of I-35 though and you're damn humid. Go south of I-20 along with this east toward Houston and you're just as sticky as most of the GoM perimeter. And that's just personal experience.. I don't even know about San Angelo area all the way west to El Paso. I assume pretty dry and rocky like much of NM.

It can be 108 degF here I'll ride my mtn bike for 90min+ pretty comfortably

It's finally 70+ in Seattle. Summer, yay (it's been in the 60s since March) and no heat wave.

The high today was 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Chicago. My house's air conditioning unit is dead, so we haven't enjoyed cool air in our house since summer began, and you know what? I'm coping fairly well. I've been drinking copious amounts of alcohol and lots of water and I've been fine for the most part. It's still shitty as fuck and I'd rather it be cooler, but it is what it is and I can only hope that this summer is followed by a hard winter. I love the winter.

Not looking forward to the 95-105 its going to be over the next two days while I'm at work, but at least we're allowed to wear Polo's till monday... not that they help much.

Also @ the t-storms in the NE, they've been awesome. More of lightning storms like FL gets, but some of the best lightning I've seen in a long time.

One of the great things about working 1900-0700, you never have to deal with the heat.

This is one of the reasons I try to be a night person. The other part is it's just generally quieter out. Typically better TV doesn't hurt, either.
