I'm thinking "umbral", given the umbril mob, the new flavor text for Geomancer, etc. That is, it's like a shadow cast by Vana'diel, and like a shadow changes shape depending on what angle the light casting it is, the [U] zones change shape depending on something or other (they did say that the skirmish zones change shape).
i think they didn't give RUN healing because that kinda encroaches on PLDs specialty in some ways.. If RUN want to heal then they'd have to access it thru a subjob. I'm thinkng RDM makes the most sense because they can get refresh and Cure 4. Enfeebling spells might be useful. so would all the Job traits. I'd think RUN would have barspells already. if they didn't then RDM makes even more sense. PLD sub on the other hand gives up to C3, and also Cover and Sentinel. not sure how good those sound.
For the offensive i'm guessing /SAM is the way to go. /DRK might be good after the proposed changes..
@Hashmalum, i think you're right on that. It would make a lot more sense of the OST track "Water's Umbral Knell", and in some ways Hades as well
I'm guessing /SAM will be the best all-purpose sub for RUN. If their intent is to make it a semi evade-based tank then Seigan will help a lot with that while allowing them to shift into a damage mode more freely.
Kinda wondering if RUN abilities will take TP like DNC ones do.
Like I said a few days ago, they're probably anticipating people doing Run/Sch and trying to Accession that enhancing magic. But all of Run's unique enhancing spells will end up being like Temper and unaccessionable.
Wonder if RUN will get Foil I-IV like Protects. Each one gives higher +Eva, or if it will be like an inverse Flash that greatly boosts your evasion for ~10 seconds.
honestly just expecting it to be one tier that acts like SAM SP2 without the WS dmg bonus
Probably going to be something with a short duration, long cooldown like reprisal. I can't imagine why it would have tiers.
I'm going with dasva on this. They really don't need unnecessary tiers to spells at this point, especially for spells where the first one becomes obsolete once you get the next tier.
Also, the way they phrase Foil, it seems to imply its effects are fairly fixed. Greatly enhances evasion of physical special attacks which diminishes. Reminds me of stuff like Sentinel where it starts at 90% and slowly reaches 0. can probably enhance this thru gear or merits.
Foil + Third Eye is probably gonna be pretty useful together tho.
