    I did... I just didnt have like any shit brewed and ready to go by the time winter started and the fuckin lake froze over and I sucked.

    well I had one like at the beginning of the game...but I didnt know I needed to build a large store of drinks or I would have made that a priority

    Basically good to have one dedicated brewer and then see what you need from there. Make sure to brew different kinds of stuff, wine gets boring quick

    how many kobolds? traps or army most likley. could always hide behind your drawbridge, too
    they're not exactly the most formidable adversary.
    maybe if you have some spare points on embark give your woodcutter some combat training

    I started a new fort earlier today and its set up pretty nicely so I think I should be doing a lot better this time around.

    Is putting floor tiles in your fortress pointless ? I can't find anything on wiki about it.

    Floor tiles are for constructions only basically.
    Floors should be smoothed and engraved.

    although you might not want to engrave everything because eventually your smoothing/engraving team (fucking brilliant use of migrants) will actually become skilled and start making high quality engravings and then if you take down a wall, to make room for something you might destroy like 3 masterpieces and your engraver will just get fucking pissed and maybe go crazy

    but statue gardens, offices, dining rooms, bedrooms (maybe depending on design), all that shit should be engraved to hell and back
