World Cup 2026 - Who is going and where?

I got through the initial raffle and have a time slot to purchase tickets. I don't really care who or where as long as it's in the US. Has anyone already purchased tickets? My time slot is tomorrow. I'd read that prices are absolutely bananas. And they're apparently doing dynamic ticket pricing. I have no idea what to expect, I'm hoping for minimal sticker shock.

So...prices.

Cheapest USA group game was in Seattle. $500ish a ticket for decent seats. LA was around $900 per ticket. Semi-finals had limited nose bleeds at $2700 iirc. Random group games not including team USA were around $300-400 each. Those prices are all-inclusive of tax and fees.

I'd like to see team USA, but flying across the country with 4 people, hotel, then $2k+ on tickets...ugh. Could have flown 4 people to qatar, got a hotel, and watched team USA there for less.

My brother is working on getting us tickets but its been a bust so far. Prices make me want to puke but its do or die for this for the both of us. We'll see if we get lucky.

Will see what the prices are like lol. Based on what I have been seeing, it sounds like I should temper my expectations and maybe settle for a random group game at Gillette Stadium

Yeah, I've decided to chance it to see if some random group games go undersold and get scalped for cheaper.

I can't imagine tickets for Senegal vs Tunisia in Atlanta or KC are gonna fetch $300 closer to game day, but I guess we shall see. Just have a difficult time seeing them go for significantly more than face.

It's true but I also probably wouldn't buy a ticket knowing it's Senegal vs Tunisia unless it was very cheap and local haha

But then there's a part of me that thinks that no matter what match it is, the demand will be high because it's the world cup

If you got tickets for July 3 or 11, that's a Knockout stage game. June 16th may likely have a Pot 1 team in there. Everything else who the hell knows.

i gave up and got defeated by the requisite currency. i had hoped to get something in KC and/or Dallas, but i think this event is generally not for my income bracket

I wouldn't mind $500 for a group stage game with team USA if it weren't on the west coast. The added travel costs of flying a family across America would pretty much double the expenses. Knockout stage...maybe. Group stage...nah....

Seattle was cheapest US tickets when I entered. Around $500. Doubt it was opening match, but prices weren't crazy. I know they are doing dynamic ticket pricing. Shit should be illegal.
