    Decent Bluray player with Netflix?

    LG BD550

    I'm trying to get one for my sister, and the price of a PS3 is a bit much right now. I've heard some good things about this one, but also some bad. Just not as high of a ratio of bad reviews as I've seen on some of the other brands, like Samsung.

    She needs something that can connect with wired ethernet, and does Netflix. The LG reviews say you can search for movies and not be stuck in your instant queue, while the Samsung only lets you watch from your queue.

    I'm looking to stay in the $130 US or less price range.

    I don't have a HDTV or Bluray player in my house yet to have experience with these. My sister lives in another state and has an HDTV.

    So what do you guys have for models of Bluray player and what do you like?

    I have a samsung but it's given me some problems, like not loading the dvds or blurays properly the first time around or freezing during playback. I returned the first one cuz it did it all time and best buy replaced it with one a model up. It has the same exact problems but far less frequently. It's a BD series, avoid them.

    Honestly you get what you pay for, get a PS3 if at all possible, still the best bluray player from what I've heard. I have one and never had any problems with it, you're basically paying for less hassle and problems.

    Just some friendly advice, stick with the LG brands, they make great products, and personally I think about the best bluray on the market. (besides the ps3)

    Stay away from Samsung and Sony players. Just about every model we have sold at my store has some serious firmware problems. Everything seems to lag most of the time, even a simple task of trying to rewind or pause will sometimes cause these players to lag. They also have the worst load time I have ever seen. And alot of the time when using the remotes, there is a HUGE delay before the player responds to what ever action you are trying to do.

    If you are looking to buy new, check us out. Looks like we are currently lower than Amazon, just not sure if we ship or not ; ;
