Computer Freezing but mouse still works

Long story short. Yesterday my pc started to crash. Like all my applications would freeze one by one but my mouse was still working. I could click on icons and move them around. But once I tried to double click anything my mouse would hover with that blue spinning circle. I couldn't bring up Task Manager to attempt at killing the tasks. So I restarted and pc ran fine for about another 8 hours then it crashed again same symptoms. Then again 30 mins after I had hard rebooted and this time I was able to get into task manager but that was futile as it soon crashed after lol... So I reformatted to see if it was an OS issue and today it crashed again ): . I can't figure out what is wrong cause i'm not getting any blue or black screens and nothing is being logged. Any advice should help :3

As I suggested in another thread, just try run memtest on startup to see if it catches any faulty memory modules in your PC. It'll show which memory slot has an error, if any.

    http://www.memtest.org/

Let it run for 10-15 mins and post back if there is any problem. If there's an error, remove that stick for now.

Ran the test as you said and passed. The crashing has become more frequent now.
