    Games for my girlfriend?

So I'm looking for some recommendations to give my girlfriend for games she might like for PS3 or 360. So far the only games she's played are Katamari, Flow, Flower, and Uncharted 2. I rented Uncharted 2 over the holidays and she really got into it. She mentioned that she enjoyed the story and humorous characters, as well as getting to shoot people. I don't have many console games in my library any more, but I'm tempted to introduce her to ME2 and see if she can get interested in the sci-fi storyline.

Some things that might help the suggestions:
    • She did say she liked "shooting" games, though I doubt she would be too interested in Halo or CoD4.
    • No puzzle, or puzzle-heavy games - she gets frustrated easily and since she's new to gaming and doesn't have the knowledge of stock puzzles we've all accumulated over the years.

Any suggestions you folks have would be great. She's just starting unemployment and can't apply for jobs all day long

Every girl I've ever dated has been a huge Katamari Damacy fan.

Get her a Wii and Cooking Mama. Only excuse for her being out of the kitchen if she's going to be a gamer.

LittleBigPlanet 1/2 first and foremost; my wife would make me stop doing things to sit down and play it with her. She was somewhat into Castle Crashers, but that was more of a party thing. I'm not sure entirely what you mean by Puzzle, but my wife also somewhat liked Limbo; not puzzle, but definitely some thinking involed in some spots. She was also really big into L4D1/2but she never could play it well so she watched mostly. Heavy Rain was another one she was a big fan of. If she enjoyed Uncharted 2, no harm in playing 1. Sly Collection maybe if she's into action platforming. I've still yet to get my hands on it, but to my understanding Enslaved Odyssey to the West is similar play style to Uncharted.

If you have a Wii (you said PS3/360 so I assume not) Kirby, Epic Mickey, Donkey Kong, both Mario Galaxies all are great games as their easy of control and shallow learning curve (not trying to be insulting with this comment although it kind of comes off that way).

    Good luck! :D

get her one of those Japanese rape simulator games. then tell her that if she ever acts out of line, one night she'll wake up in a Japanese subway station.

Maybe Rock Band/Guitar Hero/etc? I've never met someone (who wasn't already a jaded gamer who hates these kinds of games based on whatever the fuck reason) who didn't enjoy these.

Also, Borderlands might keep her interest considering it doesn't take itself too seriously while managing to be a great game anyway, and it might be different enough from Halo and COD that she might enjoy it.

If she doesn't want to play games, stop making her.

Heavy Rain was great family game night. A list of one's we enjoy over here are:
    -LBP (already named)
-Resident Evil 5 Gold Ed (great local coop with move support)
-Resistance 2's online coop(with 2 at home) was good for a while. Can get repetitive though.

And of course you can always ask her to pick a demo off the psn that she might think looks fun
