Thinking of getting a ps3 and was wondering if the 320GB is really necessary or is the 160/250GB better?
Mostly be used for gaming/demos, don't see using it for movies/music etc.
Thanks.

I haven't had any issues with the 40gb version.
Most games are usually between 1 and 3gb. So you could install about 100-300 games on it roughly. So if you never plan on uninstalling any of your finished games, go right ahead and get the 320gb version, otherwise the smaller ones will be just fine. There's no advantage on the 320gb version other than the size.
Any SATA laptop hard drive will work in a PS3. If you get a smaller one and want to upgrade in the future it's a very simple and cheap process. I wouldn't worry about size too much just now.
Unless you're buying the 320 for the move stuff you should stick with a 160. (I'll assume you're buying a new one and not striking a deal or buying pre-owned.)
