    Issues with IE

I'm having strange issues with a computer at work (I think most of them are PEMDAS caused): IE freezes on any downloads. Not a full hard freeze requiring a force quit, just that downloads stop and the open/save popup just sits there doing nothing.

My assumption is a virus, yet the McAfee enterprise software we have (comes with the support of our main database software) didn't find anything, nor did Combofix.

Seems to work fine in other browsers, but not IE. Need to use IE because a lot of the vendor websites we use only work in IE. (Looking at you, Ace Hardware. Your dealer website sucks and you should feel bad.)

Can you try to disable all addons and restart IE and see if the error occurs?

If that fixes it, then turn on the essential ones, such as Java and Flash, one by one.

Start with this, but I would skip to steps 2 and 3.

    PEMDAS? Don't you mean PEBCAK?

Also before trying either of the above responses you should reset IE back to default.

Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Reset.

Yes I did. In my defense, yesterday was a loooong day. I'll try a few of these and see if that fixes it.
