The most glaring thing is that you probably did spec the machine out a while ago, and thus, the key components are slightly out of date.
The LGA1156 platform has since been supplanted by the LGA1155 platform, and in turn the i7 860 you had spec'ed is now replaced by the i5 2500K (or thereabouts). Notice that the motherboard and CPU are deactivated items.
The GTX 560Ti also kind of replaces the 470 for nVidia's ~$250 card. The 470 is a better performer at very high resolutions, but the 560 tends to edge it out at anything lower (1920x1080 benches and below). It also uses less power and runs a lot cooler, which would be important considerations if you plan to SLI. As you mentioned, a larger PSU would be in order if you do want to do that.
I already picked up the card yesterday. A local guy in town sold it to me for about $150 so I took it. Which mobo do you recommend? and to make it easier, i don't even need to sli really. Would be nice but I can live without.
So I'll update cpu to

I don't have a particular P67 board that I'd recommend - haven't been in the market for one myself. Personally, I tend to buy Asus or Gigabyte though.
Something to keep in mind is that the SATA controller for the desktop chipset was found to have a problem, and revised boards may only just be shipping out in the next couple weeks. There's also a more enthusiast LGA1155 chipset coming down the pipe (Z68), but that won't likely hit until mid-May.
So, either keep waiting, or make sure you have the revised (B3) chip on the board you get.
The boards that are on sale now should all have the B3 revision chipset, so on that you're at least in the clear. The trouble now is that the prices of the LGA115 full-ATX boards are high because the supply from different vendors is still coming back (and with the earthquake mess it's likely to slow down even more).
Saw this one while briefly going over a few on lunch break, what do y'all think? I saw it had the B3 like you recommended.

Depending on how much you really need/want an extra PCIe 2.0/6gbps SATA slot there's a really similar model for $50 less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130571
He did mention possibly using SLI down the line (though 2x 470s will need a hefty PSU and some major cooling).
just going by the op, you have an 1156 mobo and an 1155 proc. i see you looked at other mobo's just thought id point that out incase you didnt see it.
I have been waiting for the Asus P8P67 Pro/Evo to come back in stock for awhile now. It's very sporadic, most of the major tech sites like Newegg or Tigerdirect aren't even listing them (unless you go through google's cache) because of the delays. Figures I have everything nice and shiney sitting on my desk, but no mobo <_<
herp derp I'm an idiot. disregard please.
Sorry for necro. About to order everything, here's the link:

Am I all set? Once again, I really do appreciate everyone's help with this.
(Note: I do have an optical drive, for some reason it didn't want to go to my wishlist.)
just says that wish list is empty for me.
Erm. Might not be set to public. Let me check. Thanks for the heads up
EDIT: Set it to public.
link still doesn't work for me. what's your wish list called and I'll just search the public ones for it?
DKCog Intel Build. Nevermind the Gaming Rig, I saw that there's one there and it isn't mine.
Lemme see why it won't work, kinda odd.
Just read that it may take 24hours for my list to register as Public since it was default private.
Drop the 2600k get the 2500k the performance increase in the 2600k which equals like 1-2fps in most games isn't worth the extra hundred bucks.
The rest of it is a pretty mediocre build. I assume you wanted to stay around 1100 bucks or something along the sorts?
Yeah. Don't want to spend too much, but would like a decent gaming machine.
