Quick-time events. Seriously fuck them, they are stupid and need to die. They are not fun, they are not surprising, they are over-used. Pure laziness on the developer's part. Stop it.
need more games with dual audio options. im replaying FF13 for FF13-2 and Vanille sounds like miss piggy going through puberty and the emotions of an american voice actor sounds too much like a porn scene that didnt make the cut on DVD
Maybe it's just me but every fucking game I've played has the dialogue wayyy too fucking quiet compared to the music, and some games like MW3 don't even let you adjust the volume for it separately. Have to blast the volume or have subtitles on to understand what the shit people are saying in every game.
Launching games and then forcing me to buy DLC that should have come with the game.
Stop it.
Trophies count? Achievement score? Shit is dumb. If it had any point at all I would be interested. ___ amount of gamerscore a month pays for your gold subscription (which I will never own a fuckbox till their online is free at least) or ___ amount of trophies unlocks DLC for that game....
Pixelated-ass games. Its fucking 2012. Fix your shit. I'm tired of seeing jaggies.
I'm still bothered FFXIII-2 makes use of QTE for battle cinematics. Wtf SE.....
As for what's pissing me off? Games that make the achievements for the multiplayer component of a game take 10x as long as 100%ing the single player component.
Also unnecessary load times. Picked up NBA Jam recently, and something as pickup-and-play like that needs to be instant to getting to the gameplay itself. Instead I'm greeted with 3-4 some company logos, a loading screen for the menu, then another 8 seconds wasted waiting on it to connect to EA's servers, and then further loading for the options I pick.
I thought the Console Wars thread covered all the crying the Gaming subforum could handle.
Re-picked up Demon's Souls since I want to finish it before playing Dark Souls.
The fail lock-on system has me making rage faces at my TV. I don't mind (actually love) the challenge of the game, but I really hate dieing deep in a level to my lock-on breaking and me suddenly not facing a dude who I'm trying to block.
Must suck at the game, the lock-on system in Demon's souls is fine and I never experienced a problem with it or in dark souls (same system, essentially). Only time target unlocks is when I'm out of range, you must be hitting R3 too hard or something when you try to back up while blocking.
games need to stop taking 6 years to make and having game breaking bugs still riddled through and through
Why the fuck are there so many games where you have to turn the brightness up to max level to see anything? You never see a game that you have to turn the brightness down on.
