Android App to Listen to Long Audio
Kind of a petty request, but Google hits are hard to get accurately for this.
I'm listening to a series of long lectures on my droid phone, and the lame media player on it doesn't allow for like moving the playhead forward back. So if I miss part of it I have to keep going or restart entirely. Is there some app that I can play all kinds of audio in to rewind / fast forward the playhead easily?

Have you tried searching for a Podcast Player?
Not familiar with any Android apps here, but I'd be gobsmacked if any of the podcast players for that OS doesn't have basic seek functionality. They *should* be able to read Mp3/whatever off what's stored also.

Yeah there are lots, that's kind of the problem, annoying to download several then have to uninstall the clutter. I tried some but most of them are FOR like movies/tv, and they dont locate or "see" the plain audio mp3 i want to use. Seems like it should be easier.

winamp for droid will allow you to do what you're looking to do for audio
qqplayer will do it for almost any kind of video
audiogalaxy allows you to stream audio directly from your computers hard drive(also has the skip around thing)
emit allows you to stream video directly from your hard drive(not sure if this thing allows the skip thing or not, of the 4 its the only app i haven't used yet, i looked into a while ago when i was looking for that type of app)

VLC might be a good choice. Supports tons of audio (and video) formats, you can jump around in tracks, even speed playback up or slow it down. And it has "goodies" like lockscreen controls.
OT: problems like these are the reason why i still use my sansa fuze for music and audiobooks instead of my smartphone (well, besides battery life...), those dedicated audiobook/podcast features that remember the position in the track/playlist are totally worth it...

MortPlayer could probably do what you're looking for. The audiobook player
