Android/iOS App Creation

I have an idea for an app or program that would help tremendously with day to day paperwork at my job, but have very little clue as to how to make it happen. I don't have any coding experience and I know there are half a million "app maker" sites out there just chock full of adware and the like waiting for me. I thought I would come on here and ask if any of you have experience with any of the programs used to create simple apps? I am not looking to sell this or make money in any way, just create something we can all use at work. I work at a nonprofit with no real "tech" people besides me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could develop your app in mostly html5 and setup a website for your internal network. Alternatively you can develop the app as an html5 and setup a browser control running inside iOS or Android, either route would require the least learning about developing for mobile devices, and give you the advantage of having everything readyly available for any other platform.
