Title explains my hunger issues. For the record, I will be going to the doctor, but I wanted to see if anyone else has been through this and hear their story.
Backstory:
Over a year ago my doctor put me on Celexa to treat high anxiety. I'm 5'9 32yr old male that went from 178lb give or take to at it's height 233lb. I did start eating more and a lack of regular exercise definitely helped with the weight gain, but it's documented anti anxiety/depression medication can and does have the side effect of weight gain.
After 3 follow up visits and a change of doctor(I go to a facility with multiple doctors), I was put on Prozac. This was around 6 months ago. Since then I've worked down to 218lb and I don't feel bloated 24/7 like I did on Celexa. I still need to exercise a ton more.
The dilemma is when I eat, I NEVER feel full after eating a normal size meal. My diet is fairly good, but can still use work. The only fast food I eat is a frozen pizza maybe once every two weeks. Rarely eat red meat anymore. Mostly chicken, turkey, pork, seafood.
Example: I'll eat say a meal of 2 chicken thighs, a side of rice, a side of a vegetable, and 2 large glasses of water. 10 minutes later I'll feel like I'm starving and I'll eat again. It's as if the food waits and then hits me all at once to the point I feel like I need to vomit or I get extremely bloated.
My family does not have a history of diabetes, thyroid, etc.
Does anyone have experience with never feeling full after eating or have an issue with overeating and/or any advice on how to control this?
