So let me get this straight, when 9/11 occurred and it was found out that the info was there about the attacks, and people came down on Bush and others for not getting the info or w/e the repubs said it wasn't his fault that it got caught up in bureaucratic bullshit and what not. Now we have what seems like the same issue and they are coming down on Clinton over not getting the memo or seeing the information ahead of time? From what it sounds from the McCain thing, is that Hilary was warned the consulate wasn't a fortress and didn't take action? I can see how that is a horrible thing compared to Bush getting info on a real and present threat.

What long term ramifications will this have? This entire Benghazi hearing was a ruse in order to take swipes at Hillary and she verbally bitchslapped nearly all of the Republican opposition attempting to draw upon faux outrage regarding the deaths of our people in Libya. It didn't work in order to send the election Mitt Romney's way and the public is largely over Libya outside the conspiracy theorists who want to paint the picture that Chris Stevens was intentionally sacrificed to win Obama the election with the State Dept. willingly and intentionally letting the whole thing go down.

She was cool when she needed to be, she took responsibility without looking overly dodgy and guys like Rand Paul look worse coming out of this hotly anticipated opportunity to skewer one of Obamas lieutenants. Rand Paul likening himself to being president is hilarious.

As a liberal I fear Chris Christie and how he's figured out beating up on the republicans makes for good politics.

As a political scientist, I find him fascinating. 2016 will be a primary bloodbath for the republicans, particularly if everyone holding back in 2012 jumps into the ring (Christie, Rubio, Ryan, Palin, Paul, Bachmann's probably dumb enough to run again) and you can bet that all those guys are going to weaken the shit out of Christie.

As far as I can tell absolutely nothing new came out. Fox was the only station even covering it as it happened, and even they kept getting bored and cutting out until there was another rageface going off.
