    Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge

This show is something I look forward to every week, almost as much as Game of Thrones. It oozes talent, from the contestants and their work to the judges.

It's rare to find a reality TV game show that does not prioritize emotional drama(was some minor drama in the first episode or 2, but not manufactured/forced) over content.

My girlfriend and I, who normally can't agree on any TV shows other than Jeopardy and Cosmos, have really gotten into watching this together. Great show.

You should look at Penny Arcade's Strip Search if you haven't seen it already.

Really looking forward to another season of this show. The Finale was great, even if the guy who won wasn't my favorite artist. His creatures were all pretty similar and I didn't care for them, but he did have the best execution on the last challenge. The dude Ben will easily land a gig after this show, he was probably the most experienced for what this show's reoccurring theme of urgency was: mechanical engineering.

I had no idea that puppeteers have to do so much manual fiddling to achieve such basic functions like eye-blinking lol It seems so archaic in this age of technology. I really learned a lot about this under-appreciated art of special effects and puppetry. Would love to see some spin-offs from this show's format for stuff like fx make-up artists, directors, cg artists or anything else that favors artistic expression over vanity TV.

Sweet, thanks! I'll be taking a look at this on my lunch break. As you can tell, I don't watch a lot of Sci-Fi's programming lol

    Just a quick update:

Face-Off turned out to be decent show and seems to have a lot of similarities to Creature Shop. The pacing is nearly identical, save for some needless filler with them living in a house together and minor ego-clashing. The judges are articulate and, for the most part, judge fairly. Unrelated, but I noticed they used an audio melody that sounds straight out of a Cornelius tune lol They have 6 seasons for your viewing pleasure, so that should hold anyone off while waiting for the next season of this show.

Yeah I have watched Face/off since season one. I love that show, and except for the minor shit that happens when people live together, it is relatively drama free.
