I dunno if I'd bother with it to be completely honest, I don't watch any TV (and don't understand how people find time to, let alone want to record 8 programs simultaneously to watch later) and 60MB/s current speed for 25 pound a month is really enough for me, the $70 package is about 50 pounds so double the price.

For a little less than what google is charging for their internet, i get 50 down (usually around 55-60 actually)/8 up. $70/mo for 1 gbps is crazy cheap.

For the speed, that price is amazing. I thought you were referring to the combo in general since you said "120 for TV+Internet" instead of "120 for Internet." All good. FiOS offers 300 max and you cannot bundle just fyi.

i helped setup a campaign for our city when Google asked places to apply (that Kansas City won, as you can see) so it's pretty cool seeing this finally turn into something. we had a fully produced music video filmed at city hall and everything. maybe they will remember us when it matters (we are a suburb of Boston)

With my provider in LA, it's a monthly $40 for 3/1
(at google fiber prices, it would be $0.21)

So, one single year of $25/mo for 5/1, then at least six free, is one hell of a value.
I for one, reservedly welcome our Google overlords.
