I'll be in the market soonish for a new truck. My dad wants to take my current truck to mexico and help me get a new one. It's a 2007 Single Cab Tacoma and I never had any issues with it, but I'd like more.
It's between the 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad and the 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71, both 4 door crew/double cab 4x4. Obviously my first choice would be the Tacoma, reputation for being reliable and (may) last longer. However it didn't fit me well, didn't have a lot of space. Then I looked into the Colorado and loved how it felt inside and it checked all of my boxes, but all I keep hearing from my dad and random people is "Don't buy a chevy they aren't reliable" "You're going to have problems" etc etc.
I've been researching a lot, each has their share of problems. Going to tacomaworld people are always like "Why wouldn't you get a tacoma" and going to coloradofans people are like "Colorado #1 m8, tacoma is overrated". And the neutral people "As long as you take care of it, any truck will last". Just curious about BGs opinion on the matter.
