anyway we have two, two! games of futility this week. the 0-3 vikings, who are underperforming but perhaps regressing towards the mean from last year, are playing the young and not supposed to be good but still actually trying 0-3 panthers

then we have the 0-3 bears, who are bad and appear to not even be trying, playing the 0-3 broncos, who are bad even though they appear to be trying

for actual good football, bills dolphins will have to suffice

also if the vikings and broncos win (both are favored) the bears will for the moment have the top two spots in next years draft, and if they don’t trade down one of those picks then everyone should be fired immediately

Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers (+1.5) - Only team GB has played particularly well was against a very bad Chicago team. Still don't know how good Jordan Love actually is. This game should be a good test, but I think Detroit takes this and covers.

Atlanta Falcons @ Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) - I still think the Jags are a good football team. No real home field advantage here, but I think the Jags have the talent to take this without much pushback. Jags cover.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns (-2.5) - Cleveland may have a top 3 defense. They've allowed just 1 touchdown through 3 games. That one TD was George Pickens snatching an open pass and outrunning Cleveland's Defense for the other 60 yards. Baltimore has limited weapons. Cleveland's at home. Cleveland to win and cover.


Cincinnati Bengals @ Tennessee Titans (+2.5) - Tennessee is 11-9 straight up as home underdogs since 2016. They've won 5 of their last 7 straight up as home dogs. Cincinnati won last week, but still didn't look great. I'll take Tennessee to win.

Denver Broncos @ Chicago Bears (+3.5) - Denver at least has a QB. Denver wins and covers.

Los Angeles Rams @ Indianapolis Colts (-1.5) - line has moved toward the Colts, probably with Richardson practicing in full. I suspect the Colts should be able to generate pressure on Stafford, giving him some issues. Colts win and cover.

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills (-3) - both teams have looked like world beaters the last two weeks. Neither have had great schedules, though I'd argue Miami's road victories against LAC and NE are good wins. Buffalo plays mostly zone. They also play a lot of bump and run, a scheme defeated by middle of the field shots. Miami was #1 non-11 personnel vs nickel last season and they're even better now. When facing non-11 personnel, teams average over 5 yards a play against Buffalo. Buffalo's defense has looked very good, but it's propped up by competition and Miami plays a style that Buffalo does not fare well against. Buffalo gets home without blitzing, but they may struggle getting to the QB this week as Miami has had exceptional pass protection and Tua gets the ball out faster than anyone in the league. Buffalo spent years beating the shit out of the Flores led Dolphins. McDaniel comes in year 1 and in 3 games, the point differential was 4 points total despite Tua getting brain scrambles in one game and not playing in another. Last two seasons, Buffalo has injured Tua. Tua remembers, and he has been salty AF this season. I don't like Buffalo in this game, I don't think it's a good matchup for them, so give me Buffalo to win and cover!

Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers (+4) - Well, it shouldn't be a 1-score game. I thought Carolina could surprise some teams this season. I was wrong. Gimme Vikings to win and cover.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans (+3) - I think Damion Pierce finally gets rolling here. Texans have a sneaky good secondary and a QB that protects the ball. Give me Houston to win.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints (-3) - Carr looks to be out, but Alvin Kamara is back. TB is not a good football team. Neither is New Orleans, but they're at least competent and at home. Give me Saints to cover, but I don't like the line here.

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles (-8.5) - Washington sucks. Struggle against good teams. 8.5 isn't near enough against Philly at home.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5) - LAC won a game despite still almost chartering it up. I suspect Herbie keeps Staley employed a bit longer before facing Dallas and KC the following two weeks.

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers (-14) - SF is the best team in the NFL. Very good offense. Great defense. I don't know what the fuck is getting pumped into the vents in Arizona, but they've also looked serviceable. I like the Niners to win, but I'll take AZ and the points.

New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys (-6.5) - New England plays close games against the best teams, including Miami and Philly. They're tested and the defense remains very very good. Dallas wins this, but I'll take NE +6.5.

Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets (+9.5) - I mean, the Jets aren't gonna stop them and they ain't gonna score. Chiefs to win and cover.

Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants (-1.5) - giants 2 losses are to the cowboys and niners, two of the best teams in the league. Seattle's defense is awful. They should be able to move the ball. Give me the G-men to win and cover.

On the 54 yard touchdown where no one was within 15 yards of him, Tyreek straight up ran the wrong route. Tyreek was mic'd up and you can hear Tua ask him what he ran....to which he replied "doesn't matter as long as you run fast" haha

Rewatching it, you can see him stumble, probably forgetting where he's supposed to be...didn't matter.

Our LT has surrendered double the number of sacks to the 2nd worst LT in this category. 6::3
