I've been searching the forums for an hour for something relating to AV's new draw in ability and haven't been able to find anything (or know if its true or not)
Any links or pics would be appreciated.

Thanks alot.. That's the same thread I was lookin through, but 43 pages is rough .-.
We've used the wall of justice to kill Yovra's before for easy organ's, will this affect that too? I doubt Yovra's have draw in now but I'm sure Lockecole told me that AV could go inside the wall (or did he tell me AV tractors players inside the wall?) and that would probably extend to Yovra's if true.
The side you see us on, is the side he was originally on, he actually went straight into the wall, and started drawing people in. So Im not sure if that's something new, but I know the draw-in is.Originally Posted by Russta
So can he actually roam the entire South Al'taeiu zone without drawing in?
I know people are tired of hearing about AV, but I still think we are missing something..
Yes, he never drew in the whole time we pulled him from pop point to wall. Only until people from North had hate, did he start drawing in.Originally Posted by Stellar
So basically he was unchanged until you tried to nuke him over the wall?Originally Posted by Lockecole
Hmm, we might be able to draw some inferences from that: they gave him draw-in, but only if you are in a place totally inaccessible to him.
If you're in a place accessible to him, but prevent him from reaching you (ie, Shadowbind?) he won't draw in?
I honestly think the only reason we haven't figured him out yet is that it takes a long time to collect a pop set, so we don't get that many tries to experiment...
Yea, I can't help but think giving him such a huge roaming area points to the possibility of another section of southern Al'taeiu having a correlation to weakening him.
Ok, I got a question.. I suppose I could test this when I get home but.. If you are at the top of a ramp, say the ramp to enter The palace and nuke a hpemde or something below you, will it climb the side of the ramp to attack you? Or will it go the long way around and up the ramp? If the long way and AV shared the same behavior, could possibly develop a working strategy off of that .-.
GM would almost certainly jail you for Meteor MPK on the poor saps trying to enter the Palace.Originally Posted by Stellar
The Hpemde (or any mob) will go the long way. It's one nice way for a RDM (or BLM) to solo them as it gives you a little more time for nukes before it can hit you or a little more time to get sleep off or somethingOriginally Posted by Stellar

Haha, no doubt..GM would almost certainly jail you for Meteor MPK on the poor saps trying to enter the Palace.
It would still take alot of work and strategizing, but seems pretty possible to win to me...
Eh...don't underestimate AV. Unless you can somehow contain his 2hours, (which we thought we knew how to, but obviously not) he's impossible to contain. All you need is a bad combination of 2hours, ontop of the rediculous damage his wyverns can do if not contained, and he just kills people really quick. Though I can't say much for if you've got a big LS. We just about had enough to kill JoL (22-25) and really weren't prepared for an AV fight, but even amidst all of that, we've taken down everything in the game with that number, and this just seemed impossible. There's definately a gimic to him or something.Originally Posted by Stellar

Anyone tried to use the new TAU HQ weapon drops (-1 > +1) on him?![]()
Actually it has nothing to do with AV being inaccessible to you...SE just coded AV's radius to southern al'taieu. If you run B/KB outside the big open area, it will draw you in. You can be on the opposite side of him, it wont draw you in, but the moment you run outside that radius with hate...blam, draw in, same with faf and the pit.
You're really stretching things to disagree with me, and it's not adding much to the conversation.Originally Posted by NynJa
Maybe SE manually marked all the places where he could draw in as places where he cannot reach, or maybe they just gave him the ability to draw in if he tries to make a path to your location and failed. The effects are the same, so who cares which version is actually implemented server-side?
I assume you've seen Steelfleece, Bloodtear, Roc, Simurgh, et cetera? Those will draw you in even if they can legally walk over to you and hit you, but as long as you're a certain distance away they'll try to draw you in anyways. AV doesn't have this kind of draw-in power, and was deliberately given the weaker outside-of-domain draw-in power. I'm saying perhaps this is deliberate. Perhaps the gimmick that we are missing involves a strategy that would trigger steelfleece-like draw in? Standard kiting doesn't work because he moves too fast, but maybe there's a trick to slowing him down?
People need to try some theories.
Here's a theory for ya: IF YOU CANT THROW BLMS AT IT ITS UNWINNABLEOriginally Posted by BRP
Well the obvious problem with that is it takes weeks (or even months) of time to compile a set of Jailer of Love triggers and then it's pot luck whether Absolute Virtue is even going to pop.Originally Posted by BRP
