Charm resist

I was just looking up Charm resist items and attributes, and was wondering whether Light Carol has any effect on this, since the ability is Light-based. I'm guessing probably no effect, but if anyone would know it would be the BG forum members. Any information out there? Thanks.

Oh, and anyone else find it odd that this ability is used by Corse, which are Dark-based and weak to Light? I know I do.

If you're trying to resist it, that Locket that is quested is pretty decent. Do not know aobut Light Carol working or the like.

There's also a ring that gives resist charm, can buy it from the AH for liek 100k. and a Rare/Ex earring that drops from a shitty NM.

Light carol helps resist wisecrack, the charmaga TP move from the ISNM colibri, not that I would recommend trying it in that situation, since half your party resisting charm can turn into a messy situation.

Yes, I'm aware of those items, but was really asking from a BRD's point of view. If my party is going after a Corse NM, I just want to know if there's any support I can give them to help with Charm resist (other than point them in the direction of the AH, which I'm gonna do anyway ).

Light carol helps resist wisecrack, the charmaga TP move from the ISNM colibri, not that I would recommend trying it in that situation, since half your party resisting charm can turn into a messy situation.

Ah, if it helps with Wisecrack it might help with Danse Macabre, same effect family and elemental basis. I'll give it a shot, and have Lullaby ready to stop some merited MNK from pounding my face in if it fails. Thanks!

light carol will make them more resistant to lullaby after they get charmed.

Ah, of course. Good point, although I guess they'd still be susceptible to regular Sleep spells.

Unlikely to be viable as a strat though, given the drawbacks. Items look better. Nevermind.
