Highest number of synths per 1.0?

Just had a fairly shitty run of 35ish synths to go from 88-89 (clothcraft). I have no idea why to be honest. I've been pretty damn good with levelling up so far and on the odd occasion managed some crazy runs of skillups.

Wamoura silk > Cloth just didn't want to happen for me, made some errant hats instead. Then today went back and did 4 cloth synths and got two .1's to hit 89.

I was way overdue a shitty level but then I wondered whether it was that crappy... what's the worst you guys have seen?

I'm around 60 synths for lvl 95>96. Only gotten 0.6 so far.

Mid 30's seems to be the average for synths per level. I remember 92-98 I had like 30/32/37/35/34 etc. for those levels. 98-99 I got extremely lucky and did it in 22 synths.

Arg, 98-99 was AWFUL. It took me about 20 synths from 98.9 > 99, and I was skilling with 100k Raxa. . I'd say mid 30s is a pretty good estimate for high end crafting, though.

ya, i think 36 is the average from .0 to 1.0 post lvl 60.

i hit exactly 36 from 99 to 100 clothcraft, doing the blessed briault route

i think it was approximately 500-600k loss per synth... (but i got lucky and got a .1 from a dalmatica synth that i broke!)

Breaking a dalmatica is so depressing, I crit smashed my first attempt but got a .1. I felt awful, because it wasn't for me. . I fear synthing another one now!

I averaged 36ish also. My lowest was 16 synths from 96 to 97. Highest I think was like 40 or something. I remember my last leveling spree, I was .1 away from 100, and there were no wyvern skins on the AH, so I started Deysnthing the 10 Panther Masks that were on the AH, got lucky and got 1, no skill up, got another on the LAST mask, and got my 100 :D

Another oddity, I got the last .1 to make it an even skill on a break on like half of my full levels. I honestly was surprsied the synth that got me 100 wasn't a break.

Around level 95 leather I did a good 40 Griffon Hides > Leather and got maybe 0.3 skill, that was pretty bad considering it was all loss.

i've gone 30+ synths without a skillup at 98 CC

last few .1's i got were spaced out in the 10-28 range but then i'd get lucky and get a few .1's

Well, at the present time, going from 91.5 trying for 92, I've gotten a grand total of .2 out of 24 synths ;; bye bye 400k.

Now I need to sit down and try and make money seeing as how I'm broke.

I'm at 97.6 Cooking and getting a skillup about every third synth, which seems to fit with what you guys have said. Unfortunately, I'm farming Royal Jelly without TH2 and getting a drop rate of about 1/20.

This is not fun.

This is so not fun that I've been doing Goldsmithing for light relief.

I've done over 50 between levels before. I've had runs of 24 synths (2 stacks) and not a single gain. I've also had levels where (post 90) every other synth is a .1

I had horrible luck going from 99 to 100 in leathercraft, it took me 40+ synths to get that last 1.0. I haven't really heard of people going much higher but at least the cost isn't that prohibitive in leather, compared to say cloth, gold or smithing.

86.6 to 86.7 Bonecraft took me 25 synths.

Good thing the loss was only about 100 gil per synth (tiny I know :D).
