DS Lite question

Managed to actually find a new ds in a store today (although it is lolpink, it will be fine till i can get a black one and sell the pink to my friend) but reading up on the wifi service, you have to use wep security on your router? wep sucks ass and i really don't want to reconfigure that and my wii just for the ds. Does anyone know if there's an update you can get through the ds download stations at stores that will make wpa compatiable with the ds or am I just hosed?

the only reason i bought it is my friend needs another one so she can kick her husband off of hers and leave her be, so when I find a black or blue, going to sell her the pink one.

it seems to be the only color you can find in the bay area. my friend got one last week, a gamestop got 3 in, all pink. and walked into best buy today and they had 1 left. also pink, so not like i had much choice. especially since i'm impatient.

I don't think there's a blue DS Lite yet, just black, white, and pink.

nah, we carried it at fry's. we actually don't carry the white one anymore outside for bundles though.

I seriously don't know how people are having trouble getting DSes, I literally walked into a store on the day the it came out, picked up a white one (only colour they had at the time) from a stack of them, paid for it and walked out (well that and Bomberman).

And yeah I had to configure mine with WEP, it fucks up ALL the time cause my router is a piece of shit and it always has IP address conflicts.

yea, ds lite was one of the big items for the holidays. there still going for about 175-200 on ebay. but around february-march it should be easy to get one.

I know.. they really should enable it, since it is available on the Wii. Let us update the DS through the Wii or something, that is doable..

Yeah, I picked up a Blue DS Lite when I decided to buy one (living in Japan). I had no idea they weren't out yet in other countries. Mentioned something about it on LS one day and people went nuts. lol

Blue is the best color they have on offer for the DS, though, IMHO.

I'm definately thinking of importing a blue one. I know DS games are region-free, so I won't have a problem playing any games, but is there a way to change it over to English in a menu, or will I be stuck fumbling around with moonspeak?

I wouldn't see why not, the NA DS has 6 languages in it.
