The Big Question :o

I am feeling girly today and got to reading some marriage proposal stories....
For all of the married people out there, how did you pop the question? Let's hear some stories! How creative did you get?

Even if you're not married feel free to share some stories or ideas! Us girls love reading that kind of sappy shit lol :D

Here's one that stood out to me, how thoughtful; ;

Jennifer and I are big fans of BR5-49, a Southern rockabilly band, so I decided to propose at one of their gigs. Between sets, I found two of the musicians outside the club. I told them I planned to propose to my girlfriend that night and asked them to read a fake song-request note I'd written before they played her favorite song. The note said: "I've got a gal here from South Carolina who loves the song 'Hickory Wind.' I was hoping you could play that for her and help me ask her to be my wife. Her name is Jennifer, my name is Will." While they were reading it, the whole club went dead quiet. After a couple of seconds, Jennifer looked over at me, and I raised my hand. The spotlight came up on me; everyone on the dance floor moved back. I got down on my knee, took the ring out of my pocket, and said, "Jennifer, will you be my wife?" She started crying. Then she got down on one knee, held my face in her hands, and said, "Of course." Then she kissed me. One of the guys onstage yelled, "Get a room!"

We were on vacation in the Florida Keys and went to see some street performers. A magician said, "You are about to witness something that you will only see here in this special place." Then he said, "Young man, please step forward." I thought Bryan was going to do a silly trick like balancing quarters on his elbow and catching them all at once -- he loves that trick. Bryan then said, "I am about to make the prettiest girl in the crowd say 'yes' to marrying me right now."

I came to be married without ever making a down-on-one-knee-with-a-ring proposition. The closest was acknowledging the fact that if we really wanted to be together forever, marriage would eventually be a part of that. Later on I did ask her to marry me though, just to make sure (around the time we started to think the time was nigh to put up or shut up). Not terribly romantic, but there it is. We have plenty of romance in other times/places/areas, though.
