Threes a retarded glitch if you click the npc while on the boat as its leaving you are stuck in the water just standing there while everyone else gets the cutscene then it kicks you back to the dock... happened to me before on the whitegate=>Nashmau boat

My friend had all his translate coming in JP and the GM blamed it on Windower. I told him to restart FFXI and it was fine.

I've had this message happen to me once when I was just walking around, didn't click an NPC or anything. I got my sister to read it, I don't remember what it said but it wasn't important. I didn't do anything about it and I've never seen it again. Probably just a rare error that has little to no effect.

It means "there was an error in the response". Sounds to me like either the ffxi client received a bad packet from the server that it didn't understand, or the ffxi client did not understand how to process a valid packet from the server.

I had this message once, I was trying to respond to a POL message during massive lag in KRT and got that error. I called a GM and asked, GM was totally oblivious, thought it was something to do with a quest or an aspect of the game and told me he couldn't help me. Anyway, someone posted this a while back, it's just an error message that was never translated.
