    Salvage

1)Which Area and path of Salvage is the easiest?

    2) What would be the ranking of difficult of paths/areas for further progression?

I want them to get exposure to Salvage, getting used to its quirks (being naked and unable to do anything put punch, lotting on cells, clicking chests, etc), and fight easier mobs, before throwing ludicrous bosses, psychflayers etc...

I know that everyone should bring hi-pot tanks, RR scrolls earrings and reraisers, mages should bring ethers, people need to stay on top of lotting/passing.

3)Any advice of a more general nature? (yes, i read wiki).

    Re: Salvage

There's a list of difficulties on Wiki, it's pretty accurate.

Otherwise, just check the 5 huge salvage threads in this forum.

K, but they list Arrapgo as 4/10 and 10/10 in difficulty. I'm missing something here. What do they mean by "logical route"?

    Re: Salvage

Farming Lv35 pieces is 4/10 difficulty in Arrapago.

Farming Lv25 pieces is 10/10 difficulty in Arrapago.

    It's not hard to understand~

    Re: Salvage

Not even that, since killing Armored Chariot isn't really 10/10 difficulty by anyone's opinion, I don't think. The difficulty rating is someone's subjective assessment of obtaining an arbitrary piece whose 15, 25 and 35 components drop in that route's respective zones. The 4/10 rating for route 1 is probably because A. the 15 pieces are easy, 100% drops from NMs whose pop conditions are all known, B. Bhaflau Remnants afforded any group the most time to attempt the boss with the most cells unlocked, pre-patch, and for which there was the highest number of publicly available walkthroughs and strats, and C. an experienced group pre-patch could hit 4-5 of the 7 NMs routinely in Arrapago for 35 pieces.

Route 4 is 10/10 I'd imagine primarily because nobody had (or has) any fucking clue how to get the 35 pieces lol. Getting to the boss in Arrapago with enough time and gear unlocked was a greater challenge pre-patch than in Bhaflau to be sure, but no moreso than in Zhayolm (whose overall route is rated 6/10).

I'd say that the difficulty rating needs to be updated post-patch, but I don't even think it ought to be there at all. It reminds me of color-coded homeland security alert levels, what are people supposed to do with it? "Hmmm you sure you want Usukane feet? That's an 8 out of 10 on the difficulty scale". ;x

    Re: Salvage

i didn't ask which ITEM is easiest. i asked which AREA and PATH is easiest. Going for Morrigan Body let's say involves going to multiple areas. That's good to know for long term goals, but doesn't help me much on Salvage Night #1 when i just want to get my feet wet.

what i'm asking from experienced salvagers is which is the easiest area and path OF ALL in their experience?

Every shell has to start somewhere. It's productive to ask where to start. It's not hard.

    Re: Salvage

Go read info and figure it out? Personally I think Bhaflau Remnants is an easy place to start. Silver Seas isn't too bad either. It really depends on what you want to do. Do you want to try to goof with a "Mega" or just farm some shit? Nothing is really "difficult" anymore with the box at the start. Silver Seas is an easy place to pop some NMs and get wet. Bhaflau is pretty easy too in terms of poping ramparts, though a bit more luck involved. LBC from Bhaflau is pretty easy to get to imo as well if you want to mess with a "Mega".

The easiest path is the one you research the most. Read threads, decide what you want to do and go. I think it's best to practice popping the NMs and killing the Megas that have the gear you really want. So figure out what your group wants and start planning runs around getting it and practice on those mobs.

My group started in Silver Seas when Salvage was released. The second group I helped I took to Bhaflau first to "get wet" and we popped some Ramparts.

There's a huge amount of threads, aurik even summarized them so people can skim quickly through what we've learned in the older ones, asking for the information to be handed down to you gets you nowhere around here.

    Re: Salvage

Last i checked, one of the points of forums are for newcomers to benefit from the experience of those who've come before. WHy else really? other than for those currenlyl mired in the suck to mutually figure a way out.

Telling me to "read wiki" repeatedly waste your own time, PARTICURLY when a) i said i had right from the word go and b) wiki spells out the easiest long term goal rather than the particular of my question, which is where to start on Salvage night #1. Telling me to "read through the current salvage posts" accomplishes about the same thing; nothing.

Comparing the tone of one post and thread to another is quite different than directly asking the veteran how they might compare their own experience. If you don't want to help, don't bother replying. Saying, "they are all equally easy" is valid and productive. Saying,"Silver Seas and Bhauflau are good starting points" GET THIS: helps.

    Re: Salvage

Bhaflau is easier than Silver Sea imo, go read up on the Bhaflau wiki and Bhaflau topic.

Forums aren't for helping noobs, they're for sharing info.

Do Bhaflau and try to unlock your team completely and reach the boss. Best way to start Salvage IMO.

    Re: Salvage

If this is the Panthera I think it is (the one on siren) then I sort of get where you're coming from and I guess I should bring the big guys on here up to speed a bit.

Siren is basically.... how to put this... Salvage-less. There are like 2-3 Japanese completed pieces (2 Ares Bodies and I think 1 Morrigan's Robe) and uh... yeah the NA side has zip zilch and nada. If there's anyone even 2/3 on big pieces I'd be surprised. NA on our server just never have taken the initiative to do Salvage much if at all. Salvage shells although I'm sure they exist on here have had little to no success anywhere and even my shell on our attempts have had 0 luck killing the Megas. So its not like we're very experienced or anything.

Panthera, to answer a little, you really do just need to read up on the threads because they'll be different for each group depending on what you can bring to the table. My shell is pretty versatile and balanced so we can farm just about any path we need without much issue. The only thing we can't do so far is the Megas of any area. If we could figure out how the heck to beat them we would start seeing completed pieces left and right. I still don't quite understand how you all manage to do a lot of the NMs on the way up along with managing to farm enough cells for 10-12 people and then kill the boss but maybe that's just because we haven't locked down our own strats yet.

    Fuck off.

Princess syndrome is not tolerated, this whole board has a ton of information - look at that information and use it , we will not be handing it down to you and every other person who makes a topic like this, especially considering the fact the threads are summarized and information is everywhere you look and via personal experience .

Read the information, like we told you to - then go experience it.
