I'd say UMD is only idiotic as a means to sell movies.
For videogames I don't really care. They are however trying to boost sales by selling games on it from popular "niche" series with diehard fans... who should be within the 18-34yo market. Quite capable of spending 300$ for a system+video game (before they realize that's probably the only use they'll make of the hand held)

I've enjoyed the PSP so far though. My first love was Lumines on it.

Fun stuff. I'm expecting it to be the best part of the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" storyline-wise. DoC was kinda 'meh', same to AC, and Before Crisis doesn't count since I know so little about it

why do they keep trying to import FFVII into new genres... I thought dirge of cerberus was terrible. This looks like a hack and slash game (DMC esque?)

well crisis core is the last 7 game we have to worry about (thank god) the story for dirge sucked, but i thought that it was fun to play through. The fact that you could also use a mouse and keyboard to play it was pretty cool to include i think.

i just got the game, damn it's awesome lol the graphics are superb better than i expected.
the music kinda sucked without Nobuo

I thought it was rather shitty <.< definitely not worth the 1.2gigs of space on my memory stick

i have to agree with the battle system being "meh" things kinda get repetitive after a while. then again you get to mess around with the equipment etc... so overall it's not too bad for an action/RPG. this game is basically for those fans who want to know what happened before FFVII, there's a lot of cut-scenes which is good IF it's in english subtitles so i can understand. man they should really keep the voice and just release the US version with subtitles.
