    logging in mire

I have been logging in the mire to get stuff for some salvage hands, and I am pretty sure that the logging points on ffxi-atlas are wrong, as it only has ones on dvucca isle, but I have found that around a few runs around they are all down. Does anyone know where else they spawn? or would it just be easier to head to mamook.

I've seen points at azouph isle before in the middle of the merit spots, probably some up at the rams too.

I logged in mamook when it first came out, actually a pretty decent rate there, 2-3/hr on average I would say. I made some decent gil from it back in the day. I will say though, since they added some of the true sight nms in there, it's a pretty big pain in the ass.

mire logging sucks cause of the fact there's 2 logging areas and the points switch between the two =/

Mamook is a much easier time logging in. Only 1 true-agro NM vs the hoard of imps.

Drops about almost identical. Though I found I could hit more mamook points then mire points in similar timespans.

Talk about logging in Mamook, what is the best place to enter at? Also, which rooms do you guys usually log at? The entrance I'm used to is via Mamool ja SP, and mobs from that entrance are all true sight.

I'm trying to get some bloodwood logs so I can finally finish my hand piece >.<

fyi there's more than 1 true agro nm there by far. I don't log so maybe the above poster meant only 1 nm in the area you log, but be careful, is you see an odd-named mob that isn't Zizzy Zillah it's true sight. Also, Mamool Ja Conservator and Treasurer are true sight nm's too (mirror guards).

If you want to hit all of the points (and you will have to), not only will you have to go past two archaic mirrors (with 2 guards each), but also Hundred-Faced Hapool-Ja. You don't really have to go near anything else that's true sight, although I'm not sure about Zizzy Zillah either (but you can give him a reasonably wide berth). The regular old Decent Challenge mamool do like to wander around frequently, however.

I got about 1 bloodwood log per hour while I was there (3 total), and a ton of dogwood and other crap I didn't really want. Still trying to make myself go back.

Maybe there are higher level areas where they are, but as far as I know all the mirror guards I have gone by in the last several months are not true sight or sound. I could have sworn they all were true aggro at first too, but just one day I went past them sneak/invis on and nothing happened.
