    G15 keyboard problem with Windower

I wasn't sure where to post this so decided on this section. I know I should really post on the official Windower forums but I can't register there either because the security code doesn't appear. So I'm posting here hoping for some help.

I have the Logitech G11 keyboard (G15 keyboard without the LCD screen) and I'm also using Windower 3.3. I'm not using the Binding/Alias plugin because I only have 2x 75 jobs and I'm fine just using M1 and M2 macro palettes right now. So my macros are basically just normal Windower scripts called up from the G keys.

The problem I am having is that occasionally when I go to press a G key it opens up the Windower control panel in the top left and enters my macro line in there. This of course gives the error message in the console "Could not execute command.... blah blah". This is really frustrating at times as you can imagine. I'm trying to land an urgent Cure V on my tank and it does that instead. So I have to quickly close the Windower control panel, retarget tank and cast again. This has resulted in a few deaths as you can imagine... and makes me look like a shit WHM. But it only happens rarely. 95% of the time the macros fire off fine without opening the Windower control panel.

Has anyone else had this problem? I've read the Windower G15 forums (even though I cannot post there) and cannot find anything similar. I'm thinking it must be something simple, but then again I can't figure out why it only happens spasmodically. That's the puzzling thing about it.

For your G15 key Profiler, do you have you the default bind set so that it does nothing?

    Other than that, I haven't had a problem with mine @_@;

Yes I am using the Default configuration in my G15 profiler. Is this causing the problem? I dunno what to change it to if it is.

I was wondering if there was a way to "lock out" the Windower console so that it couldn't be opened in game. May seem a bit drastic.... but I never need to go in the console really as I have it all set up as I like.

My bad, I meant for on the default settings of the G15 keyboard G-key profiler, to have it set that the G keys do -nothing-

No use of having them set as anything unless you set it yourself tbh.

And to change/disable the key used to bring up the console, go to your Windower Folder --> double click "Launcher" ( a texf file) --> change the "console-key" to another key, or delte it completeley.

Note: I figured out why its bringing up console, haha. Whenever you press the G key equal to the F key that normally brings up your console(numerically, ie: f7=g7), it brings up console

Why? G15 profiler default sets the G keys to act as F keys. Thus, why deleting them is good

Yeah, I probably explained that badly. PM if need more halp.

If it's typing into the console you probably don't have your macros set up correctly.

    insert /ja(/equip, /ma, /p, etc.

Without the insert I believe it will try to type that text into the console. With the insert it will try to type it into the log.

If you forget the / before the ja/equip/etc. command it will just type what was written into whatever chatmode you have set.

Re: G15 keyboard problem with Windower

OK thanks a lot for the help guys. I deleted the line that sets my console key but it hasn't really helped any. Because basically it's still calling up the Windower console every so often. But I've found out what triggers it though. It only seems to happen if I press two G keys very fast.... or if I inadvertently press two key together. I've been pressing G-keys like crazy in my moghouse one after the other really fast trying to make it call the console up. And if I catch two keys together it will call up the Windower console. I dunno why but it just does. I'm 100% certain it's been doing it though even when I press a key cleanly. I will try it out tonight in Dynamis and see what happens during play.
