I just got into a new apartment and we've set up our Router, including an eight port switch. We have 4 PCs, 3 XB360s, a PS3 all hooked up and running fine. I hook up my PS2 mule to the switch and get that error. We've tried everything. Tried the port forwarding, tried connecting directly to the router, but the ONLY way I could get it to connect is to set it as the DMZ and turn off the firewall completely....

Any suggestions? Googling this leads to no where.

ps2/ps3 ports are different from the pc ports.

just do port ranges... then its only 2 lol, dont forward all those ports individually, $75 an hour and ill come up and do it for you

ok let me rephrase that. Thats a huge fucking port range.....

It is a large port range, but in the case of the ps2, really not much harm can be done to your network by allowing that range to be open to the outside world.

Tekki, your problem is that the PS2 wont update the network settings when you change your setup.
You need to do either one of the following two things,

1 (Easist) - ReRun your PS2 Network Setup Disk. It will auto-populate the new information into your PS2.

or

2 - Go into your PS2's Network Cofiguration and manually add your new IP, Netmask, Default Router, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS.
