    NBA Regular Season 2007-08

So I noticed that there were no NBA threads so I started one!

    West
Nuggets continue their bonding and become the greatest team ever assembled. Allen shows everyone what the answer is, Melo bitch slaps everyone up and down the court, and Marcus Aurelius Camby conquers Gaul and shit.

    East
Um... I'd say Detroit (they still got the same basic lineup from last year right?) makes it to the finals if they don't play Boston in the playoffs. Unfortunately, the way the Celtics violated the Nuggets, it looks like they will be top dog in the east.

    Manu Ginobili
Still a transexual hooker doing work for its pimp, Tim Duncan.

    Re: NBA Regular Season 2007-08

In all fucking honesty I hope the Cs win it all and Garnett getting the MVP. I'm fairly sure they should at least get east champions, if there's no injuries... Then again, they could be going on too hard now, and get burnt out later. But in all honesty I don't think so. They seem more relaxed and happy to play again, and not working as hard as they need to. Is just speculation tho, and wth do I know.

Then again being the Spurs fan I am (always have been since Robinson era!), I'd like to see them finally get a fucking back-to-back.

If phoenix or houston won it I'd be happy too. Houston has the talent, but I still think they're a ways away, unfortunately.

Dallas could do it, but I don't like them.

Detroit is possible, but unlikely imo with all the competition.

Other than that, I can't really picture anyone else, especially at this point in time.

Celtics are doing great. But lets wait and see until they play one of the texas teams.

Spurs are doing their thing. They'll probably still win it this year.

Houston is doing ok. They'll choke in the playoffs again.

    Dallas. See Houston

Suns. If anyones going to knock off the Spurs, Suns have the best chance.

Blazers started out 0-3 going against the spurs, Houston, and new Orleans. All good teams. Now they're on a 3 game win streak against New Orleans, Memphis, and Dallas. "You better beat them now, cuz in three years you won't beat them." - Barkley Go blazers

Blazers have promise. But then again, depends on how other teams decline...

Can't believe the Grizzlies are doing so badly

Ummm, not really. Have you been watching any of the games at all? Last year they sucked because they lost their 2nd through 6th best players for extended amounts of time, not to mention fielding a 3/5ths injured starting line-up in the playoffs. The Lakers will be better than anyone expects this year. The first half of last season is much more indicative of the talent and execution base the Lakers are building on this year.

NBA = filling in time on sportscenter as we wait for MLB season to start up again.

    QFT

Since I'm in New England, I've hopped on the Celtics bandwagon this year (I watched a little last year with Al Jefferson & co, but that wasn't real basketball). I was 3 the last time they were good, so I've never been around good basketball. It's been exciting so far this year. Despite them having the Pierce, KG, and Ray Allen, I think it's going to be a few other guys that really determine if the Celtics are good enough to win this season. Rondo is still very young, but seems to have improved his game a lot from last season. The biggest question is whether he can continue to make good decisions with the ball as the season goes on, and he gets pressure from each of the big three to get the ball to them. Eddie House needs to keep doing what he's doing, and Tony Allen needs to figure out if he can trust his knee or not when going to the hoop. So far, Allen looks iffy, but with time he'll get it together.

Pistons are iffy after what i saw with them against the Bulls.

They need players who can put points up all the time, not like prince who goes 30 points+ and then like what 8 in the bulls.

I agree. Unless Amir Johnson and Jason Maxiell have breakout years (probably not since they compete for the same minutes), I don't think the Pistons will get past the second round of the playoffs.

I only watched Friday's game.. but 1 game doesn't say too much.

    11/08: Twolves 93, Lakers 107
    11/06: Hornets 118, Lakers 104
    11/04: Lakers 119, Jazz 109
    11/02: Lakers 119, Suns 98
    10/30: Rockets 95, Lakers 93

Theyre doing well against teams that matter, imo. Were seeing more action from the bench which is GREAT.
