Updating my xbox atm with this collection, theres only 1 code in the book, (vana collection), will this code work for my PC character since all it needs is a wotg 1 and not the rest as of right now?
You only needed to get the expansion pack if you already have the game for 360.
Expansion pack - $30 usd
Collection 2008 - $50 usd
If you did get the Collection, then you do need to reinstall FFXI cause the Reg code for the collection is for the core game + all expansions all in one. I could be wrong tho, so if anyone knows for definate plz post
I bought the game for the xbox because of the PC version delay, it never had it before. My main char will still need a wotg code to be put in right? This book came with 1 jumbo code.
Lol then Gamestop gave me a $50 game for $30, omg I win, but yeah for update time I lose >.<. oh well checking update files now and about to start a movie or something. With 8k files to check and unknown installation I could be a few hours.
Don't take my word for it, but if that 360 code effectively upgrades your account with Zilart, CoP, ToAU and WotG all in one, then no, your account should be covered to play WotG on your PC.Originally Posted by Koyangi
I bought the vanadiel collection because I want 1 wotg code for my main account and a ToAU code for my mule account, and I want to install the game on my xbox360.
I hope that I can do all this.
Got the PS2 VD Collection 2008, hopefully my PS2 install will be ok with the same account (already used the code on PC).
SE posted a notice that said you cannot do this.Originally Posted by aurik

If you're planning on purchasing FFXI collection 2008 be warned that the registration codes are handled differently:
Restrictions on Registration Code Usage
The Vana'diel Collection 2008 registration code combines multiple contents into one, but may only be used once for a single PlayOnline ID.
If you have just joined PlayOnline, you cannot use that registration code for another PlayOnline ID's expanded services registration or Content ID purchases.
Also, if you have used your registration code for expanded services on a pre-existing PlayOnline ID, you cannot use that registration code to join PlayOnline with a new PlayOnline ID.
In previous Vana'diel Collections, unused registration codes could be left over, but because of the way the new registration code works, these unused registration codes cannot be used separately. Please keep this in mind before purchase.
Expanded Services One-time Registration
If you use the registration code when purchasing a new Content ID or registering expanded services, you will be given the option on each completion screen to perform one-time registration for the unregistered expansion packs: Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, and Wings of the Goddess.
By using the one-time registration feature, you will not need to individually register each expanded service.
*If you do not intend to use one-time registration, please register from "Expanded Services Registration" under "Membership."
*It is not necessary to input your registration code into both one-time registration and individual registrations.
The "FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess" expansion pack that is being sold separately will include a single registration code only for use with Wings of the Goddess. If you are currently using a PlayOnline ID that already has Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, and Treasures of Aht Urhgan installed and registered, we recommend only purchasing the "Wings of the Goddess" expansion data disk.
where do you enter the code for vanadiel collection? when i go to expanded services it has each expansion listed separately, and when i try to enter my code it just tells me invalid
I bought the r-tarded collection too because of the delays and all I did was go to Content ID > Register ID > Select WoG > Enter in Jumbo Code and it successfully registered my Content ID, so... idk why it isn't working for some people, but if this info helps, then cool...
Now to go install the entire freakin' game again <.<
