XP / note reward from campaigns

Found an interesting quirk with the campaign rewards.

Was in garlaige and teamed up with two other people while waiting to see when/where the campaign NMs would show up at. We ended up just killing the decent challenge yags on the bottom floor to waste time. When we got back for a performance assesment after the invasion ended, our rewards were quite different.

I received 410 limit points and 205 notes.

the other two received 50 points 26 notes and 40points 20 notes. Only difference seemed to be that I was of the windurstian army and they weren't (garlaige is windurst controlled right now). Maybe they give you a drastic bonus by being in a nation-controlled area?

What jobs were you? If you were whm or rdm and using a lot of cures/enhancing you get credit for that, whereas they were probably only getting points for utsusemi if they were melee.

me whm, other two were war/nin and blm.


thing is, I did an campaign in saru earlier where my only contribution was hitting a mob a couple times then dying. I got 250xp from that one.

In your Garlaige group you were killing regular mobs in the area, your blm and war friend were attacking a normal mob. You were technically assisting the Campain by curing and buffing them. That's why your points were so much higher.

When you were solo, you were also working on a Campain mob so you got a decent reward.

I don't know if this is how the system works, but from playing around with some Campains that's how it seems to me.

I got 200 exp from a Campain in Eldieme for aggroing the enemy boss and dying/reraising twice, I never casted anything besides reraise.

This happened to me last night, me and my nin friend were just killing normal mobs in eldieme, and I'd get double the exp/AN he'd get, I am thinking amount of melee swings might also count because I was using a kraken club + enhancing us both with haste and enwatering myself (<3 the sound of monsters drowning).

I believe SE said that in Campaign you get points no matter what of course, but you get more points when its your nation who control the area. It was an answer in an interview when ppl asked if you could take part in another nations campaign. I dont remember where the interview was at this point though...

I've found trying to get points/AN is dismal as a WHM. I constantly buffed my party, tried everything from Dia spam to overhealing and never got close to even 1/3 what the ninja and blu were earning. I think a big thing is doing damage to the mob or something to that effect. Has anyone on WHM found a good way to earn points/AN comparable to whoever you're doing it with?

Don't say "oh your not healing enuff lolol" because I was the only healer, no sprites and we were doing this happened on every single campaign we ran. And if this is the reason then I guess I need to wait for more idiots to start doing this so I can raise then when they die and get exp that way.
