The Final Fantasy XI development team showed off a lot of exciting new details for Wings of the Goddess and the upcoming version updates this past weekend at Fan Festival 2007 in Anaheim, California. We've rounded up some of the juiciest tidbits and have collected them here for everyone to enjoy!

Wings of the Goddess:

- New artwork showcasing the Cavernous Maw and a mysterious female character!
- Headhunting will give players the opportunity to recruit characters to join their nation's campaign – even including Maat from Jeuno!

- Adventurer Recruitment Campaign
New items will be added to the rewards for recruitment

- New Guild Support Items
Signboards will be introduced for each of the crafts
The signboards will contain bonuses to the craft, as well as reduce the chance of items breaking during synthesis

- Private Dungeons
The development team hinted at the possibility of a function that would allow players to design their own dungeons. These adventurer-created dungeons could then be attempted by and traded between friends. However,this idea is still in the early planning stages, and there is a chance it may not come to fruition.

The development team hinted at the possibility of a function that would allow players to design their own dungeons. These adventurer-created dungeons could then be attempted by and traded between friends. However,this idea is still in the early planning stages, and there is a chance it may not come to fruition.

Personally why bother even mentioning it if theirs a chance that it might not even come into the game? just getting peoples hopes up possibly.

I saw this earlier too but there was so little information to bother mentioning it. I wonder why they didn't mention the upcoming job adjustments. Pretty much everything mentioned last year was implemented.

Also, I realized I never wrote up a day 3 write up after someone mentioned it to me in game. Stuff happened, i'm facing a large bill for things, and other bullshit which no one here needs to be involved in. But rather than necro bump my old thread from page 3, i'll just say a summary:

Events where fun, the store was better run, live quest didn't suck as much with everyone trying to do it, I almost got the 3'rd prize for us in the atomos challenge (we had a taru thf, I died and deleveld 2 times) and they should have had the last developer panel AFTER the concert with the AV announcement being last. Everyone was waiting for something epic and the concert.....failed a bit in that. Also, they should have displayed what songs they where covering, I didn't recognize Norg until someone said it, and I still have no clue what the first 2 where. There, thats my <3 and QQ and hopefully my car doesn't go boom again in the future after driving 1k miles.
