Salvage lotting - Multiple Runs per Zone

Did a search but was getting really skewed results with my search terms.

Our salvage group has grown to the size where it would be more beneficial to go on 2 runs instead of 1.

Question if we go with 2 groups of 8 in the SAME zone. If an item drops can someone drop from one 'instance' and join the other and lot the item. I would think this would be possible b/c they are in the same zone but dont know if anyone has tried/tested this.

Never done it myself, but every time this question has been asked, the answer has been no. Members in the other instance will appear greyed out as if they were in a different zone, and items will not be lottable across alliance.

If i remember correctly it counts as a seperate zone, so if you were in a party with people in a different instance of a remnants it would be like

Otherperson (Bhaflau Remnants)
