Server transfer for a new mule

i have a friend on another server who's quitting and wants to give me his gear. if i create a mule on that other server, assuming i pay the 25 dollar fee ofc, is there any restriction on me transfering it immediately or will i have to wait 90 days or something?

Couldn't you just create the mule on the server he is on then transfer it back to your server when you have the gear?

I thought there was an option for where you want the new mule to go when created?

Create mule on friend's server > get gear/gil > pay $25 > switch to your server > wait 90 days until you can switch for some other reason

How about you give your friend 25 dollars to server transfer so no mules need to be created. Then you'd have potential access (monthly fee up to you) to another account plus the gear he's giving you?

I thought there was an option for where you want the new mule to go when created?

that's basically the question i'm asking. is there a wait time on new mules before they can be server transfered? i'd just have him transfer to my server, but he did a server hop less than 90 days ago and can't hop again, and i'm not really that interested in the acct (i pay enough per month, i'm not paying it twice) so this seems the easiest way to deal with it.

Nothing on playonline's information section about there being a cool down period for moving a mule between worlds. In fact, I know a person who created 2 mules to transfer money between another server (one taking money, the other bringing back the ingots) when he was trying to get his are's body and couldn't find ore/ingots for sale for an extended period of time.

Transfer times are based on the accounts, not the characters.

So if he moved recently on his account, any mules made/already on that account won't be able to transfer until the entire account can.

Best bet is to make a mule on his server on your account then transfer the gear and move the mule to your server.

so it sounds like my plan of creating a mule and hauling the stock over to my server is the way to go and there's no restriction barring me from doing that effectively. thanks for all the responses.
