Considering playing ff11 again, but on what console!?

yo guys, i quit ff11 about 6 months aggo, gave my toon away n stuff. Now im considering restarting, new char and stuff. But now im having issues picking a way to play ff11, my 3 options are:

PC (like i used to)
PS3 (and ordering a US version of the ps2 edition)
Xbox360 (European version + paying xboxlive costs.)

My pc used to run ff11 perfectly, but alot of virus and windower crap imo. Especially the latest hackings had me pissed.
Im gonna be playing the game on a social level only, restarting as a lvl1 toon just to hang out with friends, no endgame for me lol too addictive.

So yeh, i was wodering, are there any issues with the console versions of the games and wich console is best.
Offcourse i will not be using a controller to play the game, im hooked to a keybord lol.

So yeh, any tips and posts are welcome ^_^

btw im a EU based player. So yeh id have to import anything that hasnt been released in europe.

2 Clarifications:

You can't use US FFXI on a EU PS3, while the PS3 games are not region locked PS2 ones are even on a PS3.
You don't have to pay any Xbox Live costs to play FFXI on the 360.

even with the hackings I'd still recommend PC - but a big part of that is I'm a pc gamer more than a console gamer.

if you're definite on preferring a console, go 360. native support for the title, etc etc. make sure you get a bigger HD if you're planning to do other stuff with your 360 (FFXI is around 10gigs already if it's deployment size is about the same as PC) I think the most cost effective way to do this is to get an elite; unless microsoft has brought down the price of the official HD upgrades)


all of this of course assumes that your primary reason for buying the console is to play XI. if your primary reason for buying the console is the -other- games you'll get then you need to look at the exclusive titles on both platforms and decide which one you like more.

atm i have an offer from a colleage who's selling me his 360, and FF11 price went down on xbox version!

Just curious about the xbox live stuff, how stable/fast is it? is pc faster? im not gonna do endgame but i still wanna try to solo claim small money makers like serky and simmy, will i have a shot on a console?

Also, do all USB keybords work on xbox360? or will i have to buy a special one or w/e?

I was the under the impression that the x360 had implemented a generic human interface driver for USB, so any Mouse/Keyboard that would qualify as generic/plug-and-play would work out of the box.

if you're not sure, just but an MS keyboard ha-ha. (at least the keyboards are a fair price, right?)

Any USB input will work for the 360, it recognizes em all. Unless ur getting a console for other games, then id suggest getting the game for ur PC if you have a decent one that can play the game well. If you have an old comp that is just gonna be able to play the game on minimal settings then its not worth it.
