Sorry for hijacking, but I'd like to second that notion, not just so the crafters who know what they're doing won't have to tear their hair out, but also so those of us who aren't expert crafters but rather up-and-coming and learning can ask questions without fear of being flamed to all hell, leading to an "Everything I learned from crafting, I learned from Alla!" badge. ^^; As of right now, if I have any simple/stupid questions, I just lurk this forum and pray that someone else is brave enough/stupid enough to ask it at some point.

I noticed the simple crafting question that was asked in regular Newbie not only got flamed, but also told it should be in the Crafting forum - where it'd have been torn to fucking pieces.

Searching for "cursed gauntlets" in the crafting forum comes up with like 5 or 6 posts that give experienced HQ rates on the item, as well as mentioning several times it's tier 1.

To answer your question, W. Abj Hands is used to make the Crimson/Blood Finger Gauntlets. This is Alchemy (93? cant check level right now) which is a T1 synth. This means that they have approximately a 1/10 chance of HQing. Your best bet, if you do not know an alchemist, is to either buy the Cursed Finger Gauntlets-1 off of the AH for around 800k (server prices will vary) or to purchase the Cursed Finger Gauntlets for around 15k. Me personally, I finally got my W. abj. Hands and am going for the HQ, but thats only becuase I can make it for myself.
