Hey guys, bit of a noob with these things, but I can't seem to view Japanese text on Firefox. It only shows up as question marks and no actual text. I tried screwing around with character encoding and had no luck. Any ideas?

You need to install east asian language support in windows...you'll need your install disk for that...past that, I have no idea where it's at, I use windows for work and FFXI only.

You can normally download the language packs from microsoft.com

If its Windows vista I don't think theres support unless you buy ultimate which has hueg language support packs through windows update.

Another solution may be...
1) go to the View Tab
2) go to Character Encoding
3) go to Auto-Detect and Select Japanese
this did it for me. i have the JP IME installed as well and Firefox didnt display on all pages until i did this.
