Firefox randomly erasing itself?

I didn't think this was much of a problem, but since this is the second or third time this has happened... I just wanted to know. Does Firefox have some sort of bug where it will erase all the bookmarks, saved passwords, themes, plugins, etc from its memory? Sometimes after my computer resets due to an SATA error, I log back in and Firefox acts as if I've just installed it and I lose everything. Is there a way to prevent against this?

It changes the default user. It doesn't delete them, but you just have to tell it to use the right user again. Forgot how to do it, but google it and you can find out (or im sure someone else knows, theres some exe file somewhere or something)

Close out firefox, go to start: run: type in firefox.exe -ProfileManager

next, just make sure the right profile is selected, and you should have your bookmarks back

Mozilla also automatically backs up your bookmarks every few days, you can pull them out of your Application Data folder under Documents and Settings (need Hidden files shown)
