Attention to Valefor

We have a member from our linkshell who told us last night that he was deciding to move to Valefor. He said his brother had recently switched to Valefor, and the economy was much better, and his brother had zomg crazy armors, compared to the zero he had received on Bahamut.

He made it very clear to the linkshell that his intention was to transfer to Valefor, gear up, make money, then transfer back to Bahamut. "lol don't worry I will be back in 3 months"

His character name is Lorak.

I really don't know what his character model is, and I don't recall what job he is. He was never really logged into the LS when I was, and he was a fairly new member.

Is the implication that Valefor should be warned that someone is moving there simply to get gear? Usually the Player Warning section is used to show that a transfer has stolen items or deceived LS mates in some fashion (usually pertaining to the aforementioned theft).

I'm not quite sure how much gear a player could amass joining a fresh server and a new LS (if he is accepted to one) in 90 days.

I understand that he isn't going to be an ass to everyone he meets, but I would hate for a linkshell on Valefor to accept him, and help him get the gear and items he needs just so he can turn around and leave again. I would rather have the members that are planning on staying in whichever linkshell he may join to get the items they need.

Sounds like you're being a dick, most linkshells will have systems setup to prevent exploitation like this. If they dont, their loss. If you dont like it, dont accept him when he comes back.

If dood switches servers, puts in the work, and earns himself some gear then what's the big deal?

If the LS gives him gear without him earning it, and dood takes off, then the LS deserves to get screwed imo. That's the price you pay for running a linkshell so poorly that you give undeserved members good gear.

None of the organized/capable LS's take server transfers. Wise move trying to one-man work the market during the Mog Lottery though.

I don't think people really need to worry about lorak he is an all right guy. Kind of a jackass but I think it's just because he don't like me. Was probably because when I asked him about his accent he said he was welsh and I then screamed in ls WELSHY!(futurama reference if you don't get it.)
