Can't type lowercase Z

Except for Final Fantasy XI, I cannot type a lowercase Z, (Firefox included). However, I can type a capital Z fine (shift + Z). I CAN get a lowercase Z if I do Caps Lock + shift + Z, but thats very annoying to do on a regular basis. Would anyone know why this is happening? (I haven't noticed this happen with any other keys).

Try cleaning your KB, no sarcasm, because it sounds like when you press the z, (which is right next to your shift), it's triggering the shift key. Which would explain why its the only key doing that. Pop your shift and z key off gently with a knife or flathead screwdriver and dust it out.

I mean that when I press z, nothing happens, however pressing shift + z to get a capital Z works. In FFXI however, my lowercase z is registered fine.

Edit: I just realized my z key is working now, no idea what happened
