Ipod warranty

Any idea on how i can damage my Ipod without losing my warranty i wanna trade it in for the Ipod touch lol.

No. I had a 2nd generation click-wheel iPod and after one of their updates my hard drive died, so I took it in while it was still under warranty and I'm like "So what do you do, just fix my iPod?" and the guy goes "No, we're giving you another one."

I got excited for a second thinking I was getting one of those thing video iPods and then he pulls out a refurb of the exact same model I had right there. I was disappointed at first, but I figured I was getting a blank, scratch free iPod in exchange for my busted, scratched up one.

all depends on where you got it. my 4 gig nano died on me last week, took it in and they gave me store credit towards a new one. so i got a 16 gig touch.

Not true. I'm on my 6th Ipod(<3 extended warranty) and I have yet to pay for any besides the first one I bought. My Ipods get a good deal of use everyday and have a bad habbit of having the Hard drive break. Basically the store I went to was out of the model that my original was in (click wheel original) and upgraded me to the colour one. I made sure to extend the warranty when I could and same thing happened again. I'm now with the 30GB Video 5 or so years later.

They can upgrade you, but its very doubtful. My friends have tried to bring theirs in and got refurbs, but I guess I brought mine back just after their inventory turnover so they didn't have any available.

I've sent my iPod back to be replaced or refurbished twice now. It was functioning just fine before I sent it back in. I wanted to upgrade to the newer version of the iPod each time and didnt know what to do with the current one. So I just sent it back to Apple and they sent me a new refurbished one with a brand new serial code each time. I gifted them to friends and family.

All I did was say that the battery wouldn't hold a charge and that the harddrive was making a whirrrrrring sound. The last time I did it was a few months ago. My mom bought me an iPod Touch and I was using the iPod Video (Black). I had 6months left of my extended warranty (1.5 year old pod). I decided that I'd send it back in for a new one and give the results to my boyfriend who was using a nano.

it's insane man. bought a 3k tv for 1800...400 sub for 150...300 bookshelves for 120...140 HDMI for 11 dollars...just nutty stuff. i bought the installers a case of bear and they installed all my shit...which woulda been about a thousand dollars. lol

lmao...yeah, meant beer. their discount is 5% over cost...so shit is crazy cheap. i'm going to buy another tv for the bedroom tomorrow. a 40" XBR4 for 1500 bucks...it's last years model, like i give a fuck, so it's priced down to below their cost. (employee cost was 1800 for it)

Rocketfish cables, Best Buys store brand. They have a few other store brand labels around the store too. My sister works there and gets huge discounts on a lot of stuff, plus free loot all the time.

Rocketfish is actually decent stuff. I got a PS from them and it turned out to be one of the better ones I have used lately (price was decent too). I hate Best Buy otherwise though, nothing like pulling something off the shelf with a giant hole in the box, only to see the product inside with a gaping hole in it (I've caught this 3 times), and they try to sell it to me anyways.
