    Classic Controller issue

I've been playing Brawl on and off a lot lately and I've noticed an issue with my Classic controller that really messes me whenever I play for several matches. All of my buttons on the controller seem to be "rapid firing" when I press or hold them causing me to do things like, double jumping instantly instead of doing a single jump, dashes get interrupted (stopping mid dash then starting back up again), and smashes and B attacks that you can charge and hold will go off way before I wanted them to even when I know that I'm holding the buttons down completely. Seems like my controller might be oversensitive or something but is there anyway I could fix this problem or should I just go buy myself a new controller?

I've got a wavebird that I was using at first but I found that the classic controller was responding better for turning, moving, shielding, and grabbing than my wavebird so I switched from that. Guess I should just get a new classic controller if there's no way to fix the one I have.

Well, the wavebird, unlike the classic controller, has to wirelessly respond to the controller jack (which is in turn hooked up to the wii) where as the classic wirelessly responds directly to the wii itself.

So, the wavebird should have a little lag. Age of the controller has a lot to do with it too.

My gamecube controllers were on their last legs when I got brawl, and soon after died, I bought a new one and it's perfect, with no lag at all.
