It's just a Roguelike with Final Fantasy tacked onto it. Chocobo's Dungeon 2 was pretty good, I'd assume this will be the same.

I played this, it's REALLY boring. The music is very good, as mentioned in this thread, but other than that I found it incredibly boring. You just go from dungeon to dungeon and they're all easy and it's just level are level on the dungeon fighting the same mobs doing the same shit. Kind of like that one game for PS2 where you had that demon guy behind you and had to fight down like 50 levels of a dungeon to progress, ugh, it suuucked.

It depends on what you like. Any game in the Mystery Dungeon series is going to be a Roguelike, you should know that going in. If you enjoyed games like Nethack, Moria, etc you'll enjoy the Mystery Dungeon games. (Although the Chocobo ones are a bit on the easy side, try something like Shiren the Wanderer if you want a harder one)
