Help with Zonealarm

Since i got a windows update yesterday my Zonealarm hasn't been working right. I can only put the Internet Zone Security bar on medium, but i thought i had it on high before. Now when i put it up to high it blocks all sites . I've had to leave it on medium and while it says I'm still protected it says i should only leave it there temporarily. Any ideas?

Try checking if the windows firewall is turned on, some updates do that. Might be causing a conflict.

Yeah i just checked that, it isn't on, but windows does seem to know i have zonealarm on.

That's normal.

You could try downloading the latest version again and patching over top of itself. I can't say I've ever seen it do that.

Seems that update has broken everyone's Zonealarm lol If you find yourself in same situation uninstall the update KB951748 from add/remove programs after clicking the show updates box. Hopefully Microsoft or Zonealarm with patch this soon.

Oh shit, looking at the various google hits I should probably make sure it doesn't install that update until they fix those issues lol.

Yeah, I work in Internet tech support and ZoneAlarm has made me Q_Q today. Yeah, something with the new WinXP update is not in synch with ZoneAlarm. I have just subs to disable to ZA and use winXP firewall since they don't nearly as much internet usage as we do on the forums . Most likely ZA will issue an update. Good luck on Xp doing it >_>
