The storyline for the episodic quests introduced in the Wings of the Goddess expansion pack is set to continue in the upcoming September version update. Adventurers will find themselves thrown into the midst of furious struggles for the continued survival of each nation.

I like how bastok's internal conflict is due to racism where as windy's is due to women....

Tribalism, more likely (I suppose every form of societal conflict could be simplified as that, but...) Gotta remember these mithra represent multiple tribes and mercenaries, each with their own territory and ancient grudges. Mix in stuff like "Who gets the most important jobs" and how that translated into "Who gets the biggest cut at the end of the war", and you have a verbal and/or physical altercation between females, of a feline persuasion...or whatever you want to call it.
