Non bias opinion needed on a wedding! HELP ME FF MUSIC NERDS

Getting married in August. Getting married outside. Venue has been narrowed down to 2 places. Not knowing or being familiar with either place, which do you think would be prettier? It's difficult to find decent pics of either place online.

You can't really tell from the picture, but the site B sculpture is an upside down rose bulb.

    A. hands down. Seems like there would be a ton more photo-ops for A compared to B.

Congratulations! My fiance and I are getting married this coming May. Its definitely been an exciting, but occasionally frustrating experience.

Site A looks like it uses its open spaces better. Keeping the crowd in one unified space rather than spread out with a big path and a fugly sculputure splitting it down the middle.

Re: Non bias opinion needed on a wedding!

    Holy shit landslide.

Site A is the James John Audubon Museum in Henderson KY. It's about a 10 minute drive from our house. Costs $300 to rent out from sun up til sundown. No restrictions on decorations or anything. It's how we want as long as it;s back to normal by sundown.

Site B is the Roofless Church in New Harmony IN. It's about an hour drive (which sucks for 100+ people). The town, absolutely beautiful. I've been all over the place and it's easily the most beautiful town I've ever seen, and it's very small. The church itself is absolutely gorgeous, it has huge brass gates that open up into the church. Only downside to this place is the drive, and there are a few decoration limitations. Not to mention that you can't play rock music inside the grounds (fuck that shit, I wanna play Coldplay's "yellow" during the ceremony, but I don't know if the church people would call that rock music). Oh, and this place is $450 to rent.

It looks we'll probably go with site A. We did a walk-through this weekend and we'll probably put the wedding party up on the balcony directly in front of the museum and place the guests in the grassy garden area.

Re: Non bias opinion needed on a wedding!

If you've narrowed the venue location down to two places, I assume you've gone over the usual outdoor wedding questions:

    1. "Plan B" accomodations in case of bad weather.
    2. Ability to put up tents for extended periods of time (most tent places need 24 hours prior and following for put-up/take down)
    3. Use of electric/indirect lighting
    4. Potential need/supply for space heaters depending on season and location.
    5. vendor restrictions and preferences for social functions/weddings.

    etc.

I did the garden wedding deal with my wife, and the only day it rained in Florida in December was the 22nd, and it friggin' poured from 7:15PM to about 9:00PM, right when our ceremony was supposed to happen in front of the gazebo under the stars.

Going by looks alone, I like A, but only because you'll spend so much wasted breath telling people over and over that the thing in B is an upside-down flower that you'll get sick of it.

But if you're down to two venues, this is generally where the questions determine the site, not just the looks.

Either way, best of luck to you, have a backup plan for potentially poor weather, and then you won't have to "look back on it and laugh" like my wife and I try to do.

    B's architect fucking sucks.

A is a more conservative look, which is appropriate for weddings i think. looks like a place that'd i'd personally approve of for my wedding.

Make sure the parking situation is golden, although, if these are places that specialize in weddings, that wont be an issue.

The reception hall is off grounds of both sites. Can't drink alcohol at either site, so we had to go with an off-site reception hall. We also have it from 7am to midnight, and it's large enough to hold well over 500 people. That's the venue if it rains, although, I think a rainy wedding would be beautiful if it's not a downpour. Of course both places do have electricity and heating certainly isn't a problem in early august heh.

Site A, just don't tell your wife this is how you decided what you wanted.

Also, which does your wife prefer, because if you really can't decide it'd be best to let her choose and let her be all emotional about it and such.
